Farm Tales sizes follow the European standard and are based on your child's height in centimetres, not their age. The ages in the tables are a guide only – children grow at different rates. Measure your child's height and choose the matching size.
| Size | Height (cm) | Approximate age |
|---|---|---|
| 50/56 | 50–56 | 0–2 months |
| 62/68 | 62–68 | 3–6 months |
| 74/80 | 74–80 | 9–12 months |
| 86/92 | 86–92 | 18–24 months |
| 98/104 | 98–104 | 3–4 years |
| 110/116 | 110–116 | 5–6 years |
| 122/128 | 122–128 | 7–8 years |
| 134/140 | 134–140 | 9–10 years |

The measurements below are of the garment itself, in centimetres.

Every child has different proportions. If you are unsure, measure your child's arm and body length and compare them with the table.
These sizes are based on head circumference in centimetres.
| Size | Head circumference (cm) | Approximate age |
|---|---|---|
| 40 | about 40 | 0–3 months |
| 42 | about 42 | 3–6 months |
| 44 | about 44 | 6–12 months |
| 46 | about 46 | 1–2 years |
| 48 | about 48 | 2–4 years |
Choose the larger one. Boiled wool is made for layering – there should be room for clothes underneath. On the mitten-cuff models the cuff folds back and unfolds again as your child grows, so the larger size is worn considerably longer.
Email us at contact@farmtaleswear.com with your child's height and age and we will recommend a size. We reply quickly and gladly.
