What temperatures is the wool overall suitable for?
Boiled wool works across a wide range - roughly from +10 °C down to about -10 °C, depending on what the child is wearing underneath. Wool regulates temperature on its own: it warms in the cold and carries moisture away during movement, so a child does not get sweaty during active play.
-10 °C0 °C+10 °CIn milder weather, put the overall on over a bodysuit or top and leggings. As it gets colder, add a warm jumper and trousers - fine merino makes a great base layer against the skin. Below freezing, the overall can also be the mid layer, with an extra winter or wind- and waterproof layer on top, depending on the conditions. Match the layers to how active the child is - a child in the pram needs more warmth than one running and playing.
Does boiled wool scratch?
No. Boiled wool is dense and soft, and the shoulders and hood are lined with cotton, so the garment does not touch the sensitive skin of the neck and face directly. The overall is made to be worn over clothing, not against bare skin.
Which size should I choose?
If your child is between two sizes, take the larger one. The overall is made for layering, and the double cuff folds over and then back down as the child grows - so the larger size is worn for considerably longer.
